Elmswell & Oakwell

Introduction

Welcome to Elmswell and Oakwell

We built Elmswell and Oakwell in partnership with the local authority and local commissioning groups to provide purpose-built homes that support the Transforming Care Agenda, a project that aims to prevent and reduce hospital placements and support higher-risk people to live in the community.

Here, we support 10 people across the two homes with borderline personality disorders, emotionally unstable personality disorder, complex autism, and attachment disorders.

Inside each building, there are five self-contained apartments, each with its own front door, hallway, bedroom, bathroom, storage, living, and dining room. There’s also access to a shared living room, kitchen, dining room, and sensory garden to help develop social integration.
